Black Friday is like the Superbowl for every small business owner.

Period.

Every business owner no matter what business they’re in has the opportunity to play the game and make real money. (Or like we say, “make that shmoney!”)

Just online sales

Personally, I love this time of year for my business because over the years I’ve been able to hone in on what works, meaning what makes money for my brand.

For a sneak peek of some of my best Black Friday tips, download my FREE checklist here.

I know the importance of taking advantage of the biggest sales day of the year and as a marketing expert, I know the potential profit increases it can bring if done the right way.

In case you haven’t noticed, people aren’t standing in lines anymore to buy their favorite electronics, clothes, toys etc for Black Friday.

Now they’re in front of their computer screens or scrolling through sale sites on their phones.

So what does that mean for business owners, especially those that run online businesses?

One word, opportunity.

Why is this opportunity so important?

Black Friday is the one designated day of the year,  for you to make guaranteed money if you take advantage of it.

I’ll say it again, if you take advantage of it.

Just imagine your business either meeting or exceeding your revenue goals for the year all within a 24 hour span.

Sounds good right?

I know.

So to help you make that vision a reality,  I’ve come up with 4 ways to help you not only increase sales for Black Friday this year but make an actual profit in your business when it’s all said and done.

Check them out below.

1. Be prepared to sell all through Black Friday weekend

Yes. Not just Friday, but Saturday, Sunday and Monday too.

People have their minds set on buying something this time of year and it’s your job to raise your hand high enough so that those people can clearly see what you’re offering.

You can still promote your best offers or deep discounts on Black Friday but remember to take advantage of the aftermath of people still wanting or waiting to buy during this time of year.

2. Up your customer service game

Knowing that Black Friday weekend is the highest traffic time for online shopping, I highly recommend that you go the extra mile with your customer service.

If you read our recent post with online boutique owner, Charis Jones, then you know how crucial it is to have stellar customer service in place for your business no matter what you’re selling.

Answer every comment. Respond to every email. Call EVERY customer back.

Do whatever it takes to get the sale.

It may seem like a small thing to consider but in the end, it will make a big difference and help you stick out in the minds of your customers, leading them to return to you next year.

If you don’t have the manpower to give your customer service/ ordering process the attention it needs, try hiring a virtual assistant or some seasonal help.

Remember, great customer service is always in demand.

3. Create bundles exclusively for Black Friday

At the end of the day, the best sale wins.

It all comes down to who has the best offer?

A good way to pump something you’re offering is by bundling it up with some of your other products and services.

You can do this by offering your most popular item with lower priced items all in one package.

The goal should be to offer a high received value with a low actual cost to you.

You still have a few weeks to get some bundle ideas together, so start brainstorming now.

4. Update an existing product(s)

Black Friday is the perfect time to launch a new product.

Online traffic is extremely high, giving you a better opportunity to reach more buyers.

Begin to tease the release of your new product or service to your audience now and then release it or make it available to purchase starting Black Friday.

But if you don’t have a new product to sell, update an existing one.

Don’t let the lack of a new product stop you from taking advantage of an opportunity to make money.

Take action now with these quick ways to update an existing digital product…

  • Update the branding (colors, logo etc)
  • Add video
  • Include FAQs
  • Update a portion or module versus the entire product

With the right strategies in place, this Black Friday weekend has the potential to not only help you boost your last quarter revenue goals but also set the tone for your business for years to come too.

There are only a few weeks left to prepare yourself and your business for Black Friday.

So do me a favor, don’t get stuck on what you don’t have in your business right now.

If you’re serious about making real money in your business before the year ends, Black Friday is the platform for you to do it on.

Just follow my recommendations above and get started today.
